Earlier this week, I was inclined to share the importance of prayer with you. I am sure that you know about prayer and you may have a prayer life of your own. I’m realizing more and more in my life and business how much I have needed to incorporate prayer into my lifestyle as I do eating healthy. You see, prayer is what you need to stay in the place called your spirit. Your spirit, which is the God in you will guide you into all truth. However, if you don’t have a prayer life, you can’t possibly be in tuned with your spirit. Whenever you feel confusion, strife, fear, or the like, this is an indication that you are out of your spirit and need to get closer to Him and what better way than prayer!
For you who may say that you don’t know how to pray or don’t pray like the warriors at your church, who cares! Prayer is simply a conversation with God. Many times, we try to make prayer this hocus pocus ritual when it is just access to The Father.
Think about it. When you were a child, if you wanted something, were ill, or had an issue, where did you go? Your parent, right? You went to your parent and cried, complained, sought out results, and advice. Majority of the time, you got it, right? Follow me for a moment here mudink . If God is the Father. No, let’s make this personal. Since He is your father, then just as you readily went to your parent for things and comfort, you have the same freedom and access to Him. Let me correct that, you have greater access to your Father (God). Even moreso than you did to your mother or father. He is omnipresent, which simply means that He is everywhere at all times. Jeremiah 23:23 & 24 says, “Am I a God at hand, saith the Lord, and not a God afar off? Can any hide himself in secret places that I shall not see him? saith the Lord. Do not I fill heaven and earth? saith the Lord.” This means even when you try to go to your secret place, He is always there.
Prayer is essential and vital to your life and business. When times are difficult or trying, prayer is what will keep you grounded, sane and through prayer, God will communicate with you and provide you with comfort and direction.
How often should you pray? 1 Thessalonians 5:17 tells us to “pray without ceasing” This means that you can pray continually anywhere. You can pray at work, at home, during business hours, or anywhere.
Most of all, when you pray, pray in faith knowing that you will get it if it lines up to what He desires for your life. Mark 11:24 says, ” Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.” Don’t ever come to Him in doubt! Always come to Him knowing that “He is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that you ask or think” Ephesians 3:20).
Want results in your business? Seek Him in prayer for direction. Whenever I am clouded or confused about anything in my business, I just ask, “Lord what am I supposed to do?” or “Lord help me” and Him, being the God that He is always provides a solution or an answer. Be advised that the answer may not come directly from Him. He may choose to use a scripture or send you an individual who specializes in your difficulty to help you. So, keep an open mind.
